The Candy Shop Wars, The Fire Within and Artemis Fowl

The Candy Shop Wars has four main charcters: Nate, Trvor, Pigoen and Summer. Nate has recently moved  at the begnning of the book. Summer, Trevor and Pigoen and been friends for a long time. The three friends meet Nate as they are riding their bikes past his new house. The three friends have a club named the Blue Falcons. Nate does join the club and they all become friends. One day as the kids are coming home form school, Nate suggest they check out the new candy shop. They all meet the owner Mrs. White.  A sercet about a mysterious  treasure gets deeper, the kids find out who they can trust. Is it Mrs. White? Mr.Stroll the ice cream man? Or a mysterious guy from the streets? Find all this out in The Candy Shop Wars by Brandon Mull.  

 The Fire Within has David going to collage. He stays in a house with Liz ( or Mrs. Pennykettle) and Lucy, Liz's daughter. David find out that Liz makes clay dragons. He gets a green clay dragon as a welcome gift from Liz. He names his little clay dragon Gadzooks( which I can't say corretly) who has a pencil in his mouth with a pad under his arm. When David closes his eyes, Gadzooks sometimes uses his pencil to write things down on his pad. Many things are revealed during this dragon wroth book. There's a couple of important squirrels in the book, just so you know. You can find all about these cool clay dragons in The Fire Within by Chris D' Lacey.

Artemis Fowl is a 12 year old kid and has amazing plans. The first part you read tells you this is Artemis' first criminal act. Captain Holly Short is a part of the LEP( lower element poilce) under Commander Julius Root. When Artemis captured her, things start to get wild. Artemis has a bodyguard who is Butler. Butler also has a sister named Juliet. Everyone of them has mirrored sunglasses that make them look cool. The book has surprising twists around every encounter.



*Note:  There will be a sequel to the candy shop wars eventually. Also the sequel to The Fire Within I will review soon. Artemis Fowl has been made in to a graphic novel  and follows the book very well. I'm hoping to get the second Artemis Fowl graphic novel that is the second Artemis Fowl book.

There's this cool new Tron game out called Battle Grids, it's lots of fun. Hoped everyone enjoyed 2010. The next Harry Potter is coming out in July this year. A Kung Fu Panda sequel is also coming out in may as well as a Pirates  of the Caribbean 4. See ya in the movie theaters
